Fred Shafer's Original Bearfoot


When you think of Monster Truck Racing, and all of it's top competitors, Fred Shafer's Bearfoot has been right up there at the top of the list for many years. As of 1997 Fred is the oldest active Monster Truck Racer in the country, and at 50 years of age - he has announced his retirement beginning October 1. This page is dedicated to him and his wife Kathy, who have traveled the country for 18 years entertaining fans young and old alike.

Being that back in 1979 Bearfoot was the 2nd Monster Truck to ever be created, take some time to see what Fred has accomplished and contributed to this sport over the years. His racing experience, dedication, consistency, and up to the minute race technology, along with his never ending desire to be competitive and win has proven Bearfoot to be one of the more feared trucks in competition.
