Over the years there have been many memorable moments for Fred Shafer and his team. Just when you thought he couldn't possibly go any faster, he'd roll off another world's record time. When you thought he'd never catch up his truck just nosed past the finish line first. Fred was a great driver, and really knew how to read a track well and tune his trucks accordingly. He was a tough competitor, yet knew when someone needed help and offered it to them. Always trying to be the innovator, and stay on top of technology Fred wasn't afraid to experiment with new parts or setups on his truck. His competitiveness, inginuity and professionalism will definately be missed in the sport. Hopefully the teams of the future can look back and follow in his footsteps. Here are just a few of those great highlights from his career...
